Join us as children come together in a Filipino drum line and dance ensemble, moving and grooving to Filipino folk and modern tunes while building a strong foundation in music and movement.. Designed for ages 7–14, this program develops essential music and dance skills—including rhythm, note reading, ear training, and coordinated movement—through Filipino music, dance, and creative expression.
Throughout the program, children will learn rhythm and proper drum techniques, play Filipino folk and modern melodies on xylophones, and make music together through shared rhythms and ensemble playing. They will also explore movement through a blend of traditional folk dance and modern styles, while learning basic Tagalog words through song.
10 spots are available. Must register before January 18, 2026.
If you would like your child to be part of this dynamic and immersive program, please complete the registration form below to register your child..

GROW
We believe rhythm lives inside every child. Our role is to help them listen, discover, and groove.
We begin with the body: heartbeat, breath, clapping, stepping, and dance, creating a playful space where children explore rhythm through movement and sound.
When instruments are introduced, they feel like natural extensions of the rhythm children already carry within themselves.
Through music, movement, dance, and cultural connection, Rhythm & Roots nurtures confidence, focus, creativity, and a deep sense of belonging — one beat and one step at a time.

What We Explore
Where music meets movement
.
Children move, step, and sway through Filipino folk dance and modern movement, discovering how motion and music come together as they play and perform.
Finding the beat inside.
Through drumming, children feel rhythm in their bodies—exploring beats, patterns, and playful challenges while building confidence, coordination, and a strong sense of timing.
Learning melodies by ear and by heart.
Using xylophones, children explore melodies by ear and by sight, learning to read notes while playing Filipino folk and modern tunes together as an ensemble.
Grounding the body and focusing the mind.
Gentle yoga and qigong–inspired warmups help children breathe, stretch, and settle in—creating a calm, focused space to move and make music together.
